PURPOSE: LEADERS Scholarship Program is being launched by law students at the University of the District of Columbia's David A. Clarke School of Law[1] (UDC-DCSL) as a tool to further our public interest law. The purpose of the scholarship program is to invite victims of injustices in this country to take up legal education at David A. Clarke School of Law, or in any law school of their choice. We believe that legal education, while not a cure for all injustices, is an effective tool to keep injustices at bay. Therefore, the LEADERS Scholarship fund will be available to any person in this country who has been a victim of injustice to obtain legal education to fight back, and help protect themselves, their families, and others who have fallen or may fall victims to injustices.
